Pictured from 5th grade at the Campus Lab School are Natalie Ault, me, and Jim Schrupp, all Crawford '61. Our art teacher at CLS, Ruby Niebauer, made 16mm instructional movies that were used nation-wide in art classes. This photo was made in conjunction with her eleven-minute film "How to Make a Puppet." We starred in it. When I had Mr. Kirby for Art in the 7th grade at Horace Mann to my surprise one day he showed the movie, not realizing one of the stars was in the class. I was in another of her films too, on Potato Block Prints. As I recall the films were in color but didn't have a sound track. I wonder if anybody from Mr. Kirby's class remembers this--almost certainly not. I'm not even sure I was revealed as one of the actors. But I do recall two kids who were in the class: Pomela Stewart '61 and Jerry Houck '61. Of course Jim and Natalie remember the film -- Bob Richardson '61
