Last October I was having dinner with Carlie Scott Svinth '74 and her sister Sally Scott DiMaggio '75 in Cambria CA. I had received an email from Wendy Zinn that very day. She had found me through the Fry newsletter. She had seen the notice that Debbie Lantz Beaghler and I had tea with Brian Smith in London. Wendy contacted Brian and he put her in touch with me. Thinking "that sure was easy" I contacted you to get Lisa Olsen's email. About two hours later you got back to me. That REALLY was easy.
After reconnecting with Lisa we began to wonder how easy it would be to find everyone from our Campus Lab School class.
(CLS was different from other elementary schools in that basically the same people were in class together year after year from Nursery to 6th grade.)
We became more like brothers and sisters then just classmates. And only some of us went to Crawford. We were spread out to many high schools, so some of the classmates hadn't seen one another in 40 years!
Lisa and I began the search for the 28 classmates and with each one we found we got more help. Bryan Blackwell created a website that we each posted current bios on so we could catch up in that way. Out of 28 we found 26!
On May 16, 2008 the CLS class of '68 got together in Vista at Lisa Olsen Vincell's house. Several of the people went on to Crawford, graduating in 1974, but the rest went to various San Diego high schools.
We found 26 out of 28 people, 14 of which spent at least some time at Crawford. Twenty of the group attended the reunion coming from as far away as Maui, Ohio, and Virginia!!
