Class of ’61 members will remember head Cheer Leader Ernie Dronenburg. At a slightly late 40-year reunion three years ago some of us were lucky enough to meet his new Bride of several weeks Marilyn. (Ernie had lost his first wife to cancer a couple of years previously.)
I picked up a magazine at Barnes and Noble the other night and discovered the cover story showcased their beautiful 33-acre Fallbrook Flower Farm. Their Tuscan-style cottage is surrounded by a vegetable garden, a secret garden, a formal rose garden, a citrus garden and a fruit orchard. Marilyn Dronenburg has an adult daughter in this blended family that even teaches cooking classes among the many vintage sheds on the property.
Now THIS is my idea of Heaven. I hear that in my Father’s House are many Mansions. I Hope mine is next to theirs!
