Fandango Cash foaled on April 12th. He is a Colt (a boy). We have no way to weigh them, but the vet came out twelve hours after the birth and checked the foal and drew blood to be sure he has his immunities.
The Vet told us that Fandango is perfect and at this point he is of Stallion quality. We have three more babies coming -- the next in two weeks.
So far the mountain lion is keeping his distance, the federal tracker and fish and game have been helpful. Their advice of keeping lights on and playing a radio all night has helped and I'm still sleeping in the horse trailer pulling guard duty every night.
