The Phantom biplane with which my mechanic Tom Aberle set a new world record this year at Reno. 251.98 mph over a 6-mile course. I helped turn wrenches and offer advice.
Views of two of my H301 Libelle gliders. Of the roughly fifty Libelles imported into this country between 1964 and 1968, three of them are in my hangar in Fallbrook. Libelle is German for Dragonfly.
The Libelle cockpit. I still dabble in R/C (radio-controlled) aircraft as well.
Here's a photo of an A-4 I built doing a 130mph fly-by.
