The Oscar's on 12th and C exists almost in its original form as Gen Lai Sen, a Chinese
seafood restaurant. The one at Pacific Highway and Elm Street was a Boll Weevil
Restaurant until a few years ago. The Pacific Beach restaurant was gutted and became
Oh Greenery Restaurant for a little while, Old Ox for a long time and -- for
the last few years -- Gringo's Cocina y Cantina.
