In honor of his entrepreneurial spirit and ability to inspire the next generation of business leaders, Charles Wax '68, (I think he's the one on the left) president of Waxie Sanitary Supply, was honored by Junior Achievement of San Diego and Imperial Counties at its 19th annual San Diego Business Hall of Fame awards November 1, 2007. Wax was chosen because of his strong commitments and contributions within the community, in addition to his inspiring career. He started full time with the family company in 1973 and has been president of Waxie Sanitary Supply since November 1986, after working in various positions throughout the company. Wax is active in many community and civic organizations and has served, or is currently on, the board of directors of several organizations, including the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, San Diego Hall of Champions, Network Associates, Inc. a Chicago based organization and the International Sanitary Supply Association Foundation. Wax also founded the San Diego Jewish Academy to promote local students’ development.
