William F. Halsey III, son of Fleet Admiral William F. Halsey, Jr, treated me to lunch at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis club on February 1st.  I gave him a copy of my book on the Saratoga.  His father trained as an aviator late in life so he could take command of the Sara in 1936.

Me, George Fogelman, Jeff Dalrymple, and Doug Kvandal had lunch at Hooters in Mission Valley on February 2nd -- Groundhog Day.
