Our buddy "Dale the Cop" Flamand stopped by Lulu Summers' place on Waverly to partake of
her Cinco de Mayo buffet.  I think that's Tom LaShell helping himself in the background

The cops knocked on Lulu's door at 2:30 AM on July 17th.  A drunk driver hit my
parked car.  Witnesses followed him home, but I'm not sure he was ever prosecuted.

Lulu took this picture of me at Big Bear on July 31st

Pacific Beach Historical Society member Barbara Schmidt Chrestman was a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Rams in 1947.  Her uncle, George Sheldon, started Sheldon's Restaurant which moved out on to Highway 101 in the 1930s and, in later years, was San Diego's oldest continuously operated family restaurant.  I believe her fellow cheerleader Marion was the model for the neon majorette featured on the front of the College Drive-In theater on El Cajon Blvd.

I took these photos of the Hotel del Coronado and Mr. A's during the 1998 Holiday Season.

Digging up Haines Street.  It wouldn't be the last time.
The photo was taken by my neighbor Emily Packer

My 1999 Christmas card, a sunrise photo of the Mount Soledad cross I took earlier in the year.
