I had Mr. Bob Sanford as a teacher for English and Social Studies and Home Room in 7th grade at Horace Mann.  It was his first year of teaching I believe.  He took this photo of us (his class) in 1958.  He was a good teacher and well liked by all his students.  Fast forward a few decades.  Mr. Sanford and his wife used to come to the annual Dixieland Jazz Festival at the Town and Country where Dale Saare and I played with the High Society Jazz Band every year.  He obviously remembered us!  He sent this photo to me in 1994.  I’m standing next to my friend Dale, second row on the right side.  I recognize some of my classmates,  perhaps others can add some names -- Larry Okmin ’64
