HSC-23 "Wild Cards"

Mission areas include expeditionary strike group search and rescue support, combat search and rescue in support of strike warfare, naval special warfare, anti-surface ship warfare and helicopter logistical support for Western Pacific and Southern California units. To meet these commitments, the squadron maintains 10 MH-60S helicopters. HSC-23 employs approximately 50 officers and 200 enlisted personnel to carry out these various missions.
