We shouldn't call them Rozelle Mystery Aerials but, if you maintain a web site, you know what I'm up against. Anyway, it's not an aerial, not a mystery, and Howard didn't take it. It looks like the work of the great Walter Averett, but I'm not sure. The date on the back is January 9, 1935. I'm trying to recall if I ever had a class in one of these original buildings. Thanks for including the picture of San Diego State from 1935. It became the impetus for a conversation with my mom (who will be 99 on June 2nd, and still very alert), about her time at State, the long drive from her home in Coronado, and the cars that got her there. She graduated from SDSC in June of 1935, and said she always parked to the west of the bell tower. Perhaps her 1930 Essex coup is one of those cars on the left of the photo! -- Bob Mentze '70
