The Loma Theater
 

Man of La Mancha made it to the Loma Theater in March of 1974.  If it were 1954 I could identify every car in the lot.  In this case I can spot a VW and perhaps a Cadillac on the far left. 


I now know it was October 7, 1950 -- we were couch-surfing in Navy Housing waiting for our orders to Guam -- when I opened the front door and spotted The Cisco Kid and Pancho in front of my very eyes at the Loma Theater.  The Union-Tribune archives verifies what I've often thought might have been my imagination.  Their personal appearance may have had something to do with the popular radio show The Cisco Kid and Pancho transitioning to television.
