Torrey Pines Beach • 1919

(Posted by Mike Cunningham on Greg May's Vintage San Diego Facebook page)
A stunning shot, with Del Mar in the background.  A portion of the Torrey Pines grade can be seen in the foreground.  The highway along the beach appears to turn northeast and possibly connects with today's Carmel Valley Road.  The railroad tracks, like today, run northwest to the coast.  I hope there was a bridge where Highway 1 met the tracks.
