John Fry is the publisher of
American military airplane postcards, which are
sold in the gift shops of most of the air
museums in the United States. They are also
collected by aviation enthusiasts throughout the
world.
John has also written an
illustrated operational history of the USS
Saratoga (CV-3), the first American ship
launched as an aircraft carrier.
John is the founder of the
Pacific Beach Historical Society, has written a
book on that community's Crystal Pier. Members
of the society receive its monthly newsletter,
filled with stories and photos about the beach
town's past.
A 1962 graduate of San
Diego's Will C. Crawford High School, John
maintains contact with his classmates and
publishes a quarterly newsletter for Crawford
Alumni.
