Oh My! Yes I  a remember taking the bus from 58th and University to Lerners on weekends. Leeds shoe store was just down the block where I had my first job. “ Here is the hosiery that goes with these shoes” -- Donna Ochiuto Ryburn ‘62

Your article on Lerner’s brought back some memories.  My mother used to drag me to Lerner's with her when I was about six years old.  I unfortunately remember the overwhelming smell of rubber when I entered the store.  To this day I can still smell the rubber used in the girdles and bras.  It was an experience I would love to forget — Barry Penn ’64
