Coach Dave Taylor took fourteen Crawford students to the Special Olympics at La Jolla High School. “We volunteered for the cause and it was a great experience!!!” said Dave. “Although the weather did not cooperate and it was overcast and drizzling all day, it did not detract from the special event! It was held at La Jolla high school and the bonus was that we were able to cheer on one of our own!!! JOHN COLLINS participated in the swimming events and won 3 medals and we were all there to cheer him on! We were loud and proud and he was the star!!! We do many of these types of charities and will continue to do so! This will be something that will allow our students to realize they should concentrate on what they do have and not what they DON'T have! The fact that these athletes are so happy and positive is something we learned from the event.”
